Government appoints self-recommended youth member as a co-opted member of the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council

The Government announced today (June 13) the appointment of a co-opted member to the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council (LOGSCOUNCIL) through the Member Self-recommendation Scheme for Youth (MSSY).

The newly appointed co-opted member is Mr Lam King-shing. Mr Lam is currently working as a logistics manager in a shipping company. Mr Lam’s appointment will be effective from June 12, 2023 until December 31, 2023.

The Government regularly recruits young persons aged between 18 and 35 who are eager to serve the community to join the Government's advisory committees through the MSSY with a view to providing more opportunities for young people to participate in policy discussion. LOGSCOUNCIL, as a participant of the MSSY, serves as a forum for the Government and industry stakeholders, allowing Members with diverse expertise and knowledge from the logistics sector to advise on initiatives to promote the development of the logistics industry in Hong Kong.
